Todays Throwback thursdays post comes from deep in my childhood
memory. I recall back in the late 70′s early 80′s my Mom somehow got a
hold of some “Designer” jeans and T-shirts and was selling them to
friends and such through house parties. I remember her raving, “Oh these
are DESIGNER jeans”. I am trying to recall the exact brand, but I am
quite certain it was Sassoon Jeans, it could have been Sergio Valente
though. I remember they were super fitted jeans with a fancy logo on the
back pocket. She also had some baby doll style T-shirts with the brand
name real big and bold across the front. I am certain it is these
childhood memories that inspired me to love fashion at a very young age.
Not to mention, my Mom sewed alot of clothes from paper patterns that
could be purchased at your local fabric store. I remember helping her
put all of the pins to hold the paper pattern to the fabric before she
started cutting. Anyway, this is my inspiration for todays post. Check

Jeans, Jordache Jeans, Gloria Vanderbilt, Sergio Valente and Calvin
Klein featuring Brook Shields.
So, if ya thought skinny jeans were a recent trend of the New
Millenium, you are wrong. They came about 40 years ago, I don’t think
they had the wonderful invention of Spandex in these jeans though!
