Throwback Thursdays- Cutoff Denim Vests

When did this trend start? I am not quite sure. While researching
todays topic, Denim Vests, it took me back to the punk scene of the 70′s
and 80′s when punks would DIY these denim vests, bleach them, safety
pin them and cover them with patches. Maybe the original inspiration
came from biker gangs like Hells Angels. I’m not quite certain. Then
there was Madonna who popularized these denim vests in the 80′s. Of
course denim vests today are commonly seen worn by heavy metal lovers,
but also celebs like Justin Bieber.
