Wishful Wednesdays- Louis Vuitton

Even though I have been in the fashion biz for nearly 20 years, it
was only last semester at Long Beach State University, that I realized
Marc Jacobs is the head designer for Louis Vuitton. I also learned that
Louis Vuitton bags are not even leather, they are vinyl!! What the heck,
I couldn’t believe that. But it doesnt change the fact that I have
always had a fondness for Marc Jacobs vintage aesthetic approach. His
trademark oversized collars and oversized buttons are so reminiscent of
Polyester, goodwill chic! I love how he can magically combine these two
elements, chic and geek, it is truly what makes him a design genius.So
todays post, goes out to one of the great designers of our generation,
Marc Jacobs and his collection for Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 Ready to
Wear. So you may be asking yourself, whats so “Wishful ” about this?
Well, For those who like these styles, I bet you “wish” you had
soemwhere to wear them? hmmmm….
